Four years ago I was playing baseball, but from the first practise in the spring my arm gave me a great deal of trouble whenever I would throw the ball, and in one of the first games of the season I hurt it so badly that I could scarcely put my hand to my head. It was at this time that I was induced to try Christian Science. I went to a practitioner for treatment, and by the time we were ready to play again (we were playing only one game each week), I was entirely healed, and no matter how hard I would throw I have never been troubled since. During the same season I had the second finger on my right hand broken with the ball. I then called upon the practitioner again for treatment, and was advised to have the finger bandaged, but as this bothered me with my work I took the bandage off before a day had passed. I did not miss any time from my work, and at the end of the week my finger was healed and I was ready to play ball again.
During this time I was not studying Christian Science for myself, but I knew that there was more to Christian Science than mere theory, as I could see what it had done for others. Since that time I have been helped in many other ways, and I have taken up the study of Christian Science with the Bible and Science and Health as my guide.—F. A. Evans, Englewood, Col.
Six years ago I had a severe attack of throat trouble and called a physician. I also had a backache which had troubled me for several years; in fact I had not been considered very strong by my family and friends since I was thirteen years old. The physician said my condition was due to overwork. When I had the attack of throat trouble I was helped by the doctor, but not entirely healed. He said I would always be subject to this ill, and I was troubled with it for the next year. Later I was induced by a friend to try Christian Science, so I engaged a practitioner and bought a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, the result being that in a short time I was healed of all my physical ailments. I have since relied on the Bible and Science and Health as my daily guide.—Mrs. F. A. Evans, Englewood, Col.
