It is with a heart full of gratitude to God that I give this...
It is with a heart full of gratitude to God that I give this testimony. I was brought up in the atmosphere of an orthodox church, but I never felt satisfied; there was something lacking. It seemed to me that there was too much of a Sunday religion, and I was looking for an every-day religion, something that I could use in all of life's problems; and I thank God that I have found it in Christian Science.
This truth was brought to my notice about ten years ago through the healing of my wife of gall-stones. At that time I did not take Science seriously, but acknowledged the fact that it was a good thing to have around in case of sickness. Several years later I was taken with a serious attack of fever, and I called for Christian Science treatment. While our family physician had said that it was a very severe case, and that the fever could not be checked, I was healed almost instantly by absent treatment in Christian Science. I had worn glasses constantly for six years, but was healed by reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I was also healed of stomach trouble of many years standing, by the same means.
I find the understanding gained in Christian Science a great help in my business, for I can do more work, and do it better, than ever before. I thank God every day that I have the privilege of reading such periodicals as the Journal, Sentinel, and Monitor. In the Home Forum of the Monitor there is something to help me through the perplexities of the day's business, and I am indeed very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the many blessings that Christian Science has brought to me and mine.—
