After having met with great reverses for many years, I became afflicted with a serious abdominal trouble, and according to medical opinion it was absolutely necessary for me to submit to an operation. The very thought seemed terrible to me, however, and in my great anguish I heard of Christian Science, turned to a practitioner, told her all my troubles, and asked for help. I herewith testify that through the help afforded me I was restored to health without having to resort to an operation. Besides this, my general condition has greatly improved, and I feel happy and contented, as do both my sons, for the many blessings which have come into our home through firm faith that God is our helper. I wish to express my sincerest gratitude to God, and also to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for all the love and goodness which has come to me as a result of her work.
