I wish to testify to the many blessings that Christian Science has brought to me. It has given me quiet, peace, sweet assurance, and a freedom from fear, anxiety, and grief, which the world can never give and cannot take away. Some years ago a great sorrow came into my life, on account of which my condition became one of deep melancholy. I did not care to live, feeling there was nothing more in life.
It was at this time Christian Science was brought to my notice by a friend, who sent me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, requesting that I read it, and saying that he knew it would help me. I did read it, several times; and through the reading, and help from this friend, I gained a better understanding of the truth and was lifted up and out of darkness into daylight, being completely healed. I was also healed of what materia medica called a malignant disease of the skin, of six years' growth, for which all known remedies had been used without any benefit whatever. One treatment in Christian Science was given, and it entirely disappeared.
We have had many demonstrations in our home of the healing power of divine Love. For these and for the spiritual enlightenment and understanding of the omnipotence and omnipresence of God, I am truly grateful.
