Among the Churches

Current Notes

Longmont, Col.—First Church of Christ, Scientist, has moved into its church building on the corner of Pratt street and Fifth avenue. The opening service was held on Sept. 7. This church was organized in October, 1902, and has held services in various halls. In April, 1913, when the last payment was made on the building lot, it was decided to erect a small building to supply the present need. The church is thirty-five by forty-two feet, and very simple in design. It has a possible seating capacity of one hundred and twenty-five. The reading-room is in the church.—Correspondence.

Monte Vista, Col.—For the comfort of visitors at the Monte Vista carnival, several rest rooms were provided. A large number were entertained by the Christian Scientists at their room, which was very nicely fitted up in the La Veta block. Over five hundred names were registered here during the two days, and appreciation of such quarters has given impetus to the plan that the city maintain a permanent rest room for the convenience of out-of-town visitors.
