I deem it a great blessing to tell what Christian Science...
I deem it a great blessing to tell what Christian Science has done for me. When a child of about eight years of age I had St. Vitus's dance, which seemed to be the startingpoint for much suffering. As I grew to womanhood and was married I continued to suffer, it seemed to me then, in every possible way, mentally and physically. I spent the summer in one place and the winter in another, as the heat of summer seemed to bring nervous exhaustion, while the winter brought serious attacks of colds, coughs, etc. One of the last doctors that I had advised an operation. There were times when my mind was a blank and my sense struggled to free itself like a wounded bird. I prayed that God would be merciful and take me out of this world, as I then knew of no other release from pain and suffering.
It is now two years since a dear friend who had been healed through Christian Science heard of my state, and wrote asking if I would read some Christian Science literature. She mentioned her healing, and knowing of her previous condition, also feeling that all earthly help had failed, I said, Why should I not have this blessing, too? The literature was sent, and as I read I understood that with God there is no respect of persons, and the blessing was mine. The demonstration of health was perfect after reading and studying the Bible with Science and Health and other writings by Mrs. Eddy. As for the spiritual uplifting, I now feel that God knows my thought and knows that I am leaning on the everlasting arms for daily support and for understanding. I am trying each day to prove, by being honest, just, and pure, my love and gratitude to our heavenly Father and His beloved Son, Christ Jesus, also to the pure and gentle woman who was given the wonderful message of Truth for the redemption of all mankind in this age.—Mrs. Belle Knoblock, Shandon, Cal.
