AMONG THE CHURCHES

As an evidence of the growth of the sect in Palo Alto, the Christian Scientists of this city have announced the purchase of a fine lot, on which will later be commenced the erection of a new church. The ground is the corner lot situated at Bryant street and Forest avenue, having frontages of one hundred and one hundred and twelve and a half feet respectively.

The members of the Christian Science church, whose place of worship is located in the edifice formerly occupied by the Presbyterians at Waverley street and University avenue, will concentrate their efforts toward the raising of a building fund. As yet no plans have been drawn up for the building, but it is known that a model structure is contemplated by the local congregation.—Palo Alto Times.
