Boston, Mass. —The First Church of Christ, Scientist. Services: 10:45 a.m., 7:30 p.m; Sunday school, 10:45 a.m. ; Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. In the new church edifice, Norway, Falmouth, and St. Paul streets. The church is open to visitors Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Reading-rooms: Berkeley building (suite 306-307), 420 Boylston street; open daily, except Sunday and Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. International Trust Company building (second floor), southwest corner Devonshire and Milk streets, opposite post-office; open daily, except Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Oskaloosa, Iowa.—The corner-stone of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, was laid Tuesday morning, Aug. 27, at six o'clock. The church-members hope to have the building ready for use in November. The structure is to be of frame, with exterior covering or facing of white cement plaster. The edifice will cost between eight and nine thousand dollars. The cost of the lot was fifteen hundred dollars. The new church will have an ideal location. It will stand on lots on the south side of High avenue, east of Third street. Seating capacity of the pews will be about two hundred and twenty-five. Upon occasions of lectures or crowded service, seventy-five to one hundred additional capacity may be secured in the foyer. The dimensions of the auditorium proper are thirty-four by forty-seven feet.
