Our Leader tells us in the Manual that "testimony in regard to the healing of the sick is highly important," so I send mine, hoping that it may be a help to some one. I was led to study Christian Science through the healing of our son. He was always delicate, and at an early age seemed to suffer from catarrhal and bronchial trouble. From this time on the family physician was a frequent visitor at our home. As the boy grew older he had a cough for several years. During his thirteenth year we took him to the best physicians in the state, but they gave us very little encouragement, and said that it was necessary to have two operations performed on him at once. This was done, and for several months after his return from the hospital he was better; then the old conditions reappeared, and it seemed that he could not live much longer.
At this time, when I was almost overcome with fear, a dear friend offered to give him Christian Science treatment, and as I had lost all faith in material remedies I was glad to grasp at anything that promised relief. He was given treatment and gradually brought back to health, and I know that he will gain even more as we both acquire a better understanding of the truth. He has also been healed of earache and of a partial deafness which had been a great hindrance to him in his school work for several years.
Since taking up this study, over three years ago, I have been greatly benefited both physically and spiritually, and for these great blessings I am thankful to God. I am also grateful to our dear Leader for Christian Science, which is leading mankind out of darkness into light.
