AMONG THE CHURCHES

The finishing touches are being placed on the interior of the new Christian Science church building at Allegan and Walnut streets, and it is planned to hold the first service in the new edifice on Sunday, March 5, or March 12 at the latest. After the custom of the denomination, the dedication will be deferred until the building is entirely paid for.

The new building, while not costly, is one of the most beautiful and artistic church edifices in the city, and the only one of its particular style. The architectural style is Grecian and is of the design used extensively for Christian Science churches today. The auditorium will seat four hundred and sixty-five, and the foyer at the rear, which will seat seventy-five more, can be thrown into the auditorium by the opening of windows.—Lansing Journal-Republican.
