A copy of Science and Health had been lent me, and though I could only keep it one day, I felt it did me much good. I took the first opportunity of attending a Thanksgiving service in this town, to see what Christian Science was, and I was much interested in the testimonies, but did not make up my mind to see a practitioner for three months. I was at that time suffering, and had been for twelve years, from catarrh in a very aggravated form. I had been under medical treatment without getting any relief whatever, and I then went to a specialist, whose medicine gave me temporary relief. It made me feel very ill, however, and the outward appearances of the ailment were very noticeable.

I finally went to see a Christian Science practitioner, had a talk with her, and came out of the room healed and with no sign of the ailment left. I felt very grateful, but beyond going to one or two services I took no further steps to learn more of Christian Science. In three weeks' time the ailment reappeared, and this time I went to the practitioner for treatment. In a fortnight I was cured, and have never had a return of the disease, although this is nearly three years ago.

The physical healing is small compared to the spiritual uplifting, and I am more than grateful to our beloved Leader for this great truth revealed to us in Christian Science.
