With a thankful heart I speak of the benefits which Christian Science has brought me. I suffered for years from a severe nervous disorder, being so much affected that the least excitement caused violent headache, which was always accompanied by distress in the stomach, while the neuralgic pain would last for months. Many different medicines and tonics were tried, but they were of no use, as I was only temporarily relieved. Then other trials were added, which had to be quietly submitted to; but I did not despair, and my trust in God supported me.

During this sad time a relative drew my attention to Christian Science and invited me to go with her to a practitioner, and I did not long hesitate, for I had lost all faith in material means. The practitioner kindly gave me a treatment; and after having been treated three times the pain had all vanished. I am now quite well, and capable of more exertion than ever before. Through Christian Science I have learned to pray aright, and I study the precious spiritual truths, as explained in our text-book. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, with a joyful and grateful heart toward God and our beloved Leader.
