I wish to give my testimony regarding the process of my recovery from sickness in 1908. After treatment by a medical physician in 1907 for an eye disease, and from which I was said to have recovered, the same symptoms appeared about a year later, and I was afraid of the return of the old disease, because in the mean time one side of my nose had become painfully affected, while on the right side of my head I suffered severely after prolonged attention to administrative business.

A Christian Science practitioner in this city, at my request, helped me in the way taught in Science and Health, with the result that the headache disappeared rapidly; and the nose was very soon restored to a normal appearance. The redness of the eye diminished gradually, so that after three months the treatment was no longer necessary. The symptoms never reappeared, and I was convinced that the illness had disappeared forever.

It is a pleasure to me to express my great thankfulness for the kind and tactful way in which I was treated during my experience in reaching the perfect healing. I now feel that this truth is an excellent and sure possession. I thank divine Love, who has given to humanity a better understanding of God, in the Christ Science revealed again through Mrs. Eddy.—S. Hoekstra, Amsterdam, Holland.
