So many people have wondered at my recovery from illness of such long standing, that I came to the conclusion my experience with Christian Science might help some other poor sufferer who has exhausted all other means, that such a one might be inspired to search for health in the way I did. I had been subject to nervous disorders nearly all my life, as well as to bronchial and stomach trouble and several other complaints. My most serious difficulties began after the birth of my second child, which was about eight years ago. I suffered greatly for nearly two years, could not do any work, and spent most of my time in bed. The last six months I could not see any one except those who cared for me. I had seven different doctors, who did their best and helped me for a while, but they all said I would never get well unless I underwent a serious operation. This I refused to do, declaring I would die first; and I was thought to be dying when a friend advised Christian Science.

I had treatment, and although my recovery was slow, it was a steady gain from the first treatment. I am now in excellent health and do all my own work. I have never enjoyed such good health, and the truth has been our sole remedy for some time. My two children have been delivered from many ailments. The doctor said the second child would never walk, but in six treatments in Christian Science the little one was entirely healed, and could walk a short time after. I am grateful to God, and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
