Christian Science has brought great joy to me in my old age. Twelve years ago I was healed of rheumatism of many years' standing. I have never lived where I could go to church, but I have read Science and Health and all the other Christian Science literature I could get. The Sentinel comes to me each week, bringing a message of Truth and Love.

In February, 1909, I was living with my son, who is not a believer in Science, and I was taken ill and was very sick. My son was very much alarmed and sent for a physician. In a few days they called another and then another, until three physicians had said they could do nothing for me. I had seemingly gone down to the brink of the grave, but my husband said there was another chance. He wanted to turn the case over to God through Christian Science, and this was done. A practitioner was called over the long-distance telephone, and I was fully restored to health, so that I am better than I have been for years. My husband also was healed of many ailments. We have been married sixty-eight years. We were both reared in an orthodox belief, but feel that we have been born again in this blessed truth. For all this we give praise to God, and thanks to our dear Leader, who has made this truth practical to the world.
