Christian Science has done so much for me that I write...
Christian Science has done so much for me that I write this testimony with the hope that some one may be benefited by my experience. When quite a small child I was ruptured severely by lifting a very heavy weight. A doctor was called, and he ordered me to wear a support, to keep very quiet, and not on any account to run and jump about. After many years of pain and inconvenience I was persuaded to undergo an operation. This, however, proved an utter failure, my condition being worse after it than before. This went on for three years, until he happy day that I heard of Christian Science. I must confess that I felt skeptical about all the wonderful healings, but made up my mind to prove it for myself. In a short time I found that there was hope for me, that I need not suffer, that God is Love, and that joy and health are man's rightful inheritance. I wrote to a practitioner for absent treatment, and in a very short time I got my healing. In one of the practitioner's letters she asked if I could not make up my mind to lean on God for support. This let in the light; I felt I could up the material support without any fear.
I cannot sufficiently express my joy and gratitude for this efficient healing, and for all the good things which have come in its train, foremost of all being the spiritual quickening. It is my great desire to live so as to reflect this truth which has been made so clear to us by our loving Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
