I give my testimony with great pleasure and a very thankful heart, that others may know what the truth has done for me. It is over three years since I first heard of Christian Science and began to study it. At that time I was exceedingly unhappy from a great sorrow that had come to us, but Christian Science brought me such peace and comfort as I never dreamed would be possible in this world. I belonged to an orthodox church, and thought I was a Christian, but my prayers had availed nothing. At last, after months of illness and bereavement, a dear sister and brother led me to Christian Science. I got a copy of Science and Health, and read it almost day and night; then the light came, and I knew I had found the truth that makes us free.

Christian Science has brought to me perfect health and happiness, and the knowledge that Love wipes away all our tears; that now, here on this earth, God binds up the broken heart, giving us peace and comfort. For this blessing I praise His holy name. A short time after I began the study of Science and Health i was taken down with intermittent chills. I felt that I needed help to meet this trouble, as every attack seemed to be harder, attended with high fever and severe pain. A Christian Science practitioner was telephoned to, and she commenced to treat me at once. After the first treatment I slept like a child and enjoyed my rest. In a short time I was entirely healed of this disease, and many other ailments went with it,—headache and stomach trouble, also heart disease from which I had suffered many years.

Since then I have had many beautiful demonstrations. With a little understanding and much faith in God's power, I was enabled to heal a serious stomach disease for a friend, and with this healing came a great desire to know more of this glorious Principle. I learned that only as we become workers in this truth can we reach a higher understanding of the First Commandment, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me," and "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
