After the healing of my daughter by Christian Science. I began to read and study the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I then concluded to take treatment of a practitioner for an affection of the stomach and bowels, from which I had suffered twenty years, and in two months I was completely healed. My case had been diagnosed by one physician as tubercular disease of the bowels; by another, as a serious disease of the kidneys, others were wholly unable to classify it.

With the complications that ensued, my condition was most distressing. I tried many physicians and all kinds of medicines; there was not a day I did not take some opiate, and I was on a rigid diet all the time.

In the four years since I was healed by Christian Science I have not taken one drop of medicine, and I can eat anything that is set before me. I am thankful to God, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the spiritual uplifting which I have received, also for the revelation of the truth which enables me to free others from the bondage of physical ills. My greatest desire is to get a better understanding of this healing truth.
