It is with deep gratitude that I wish to tell of the blessings which Christian Science has given me, though words cannot express the peace it has brought into my life. I wish to tell of a demonstration over some severe burns. About six months ago my little daughter's dress caught fire while she was near a bonfire. Hearing the screams of the children, I ran out and found her sitting on the ground near the front of the house. She had run from the back yard, a distance of about one hundred feet, with the flames surrounding her. I put the fire out with my hands. The child's clothing from the waist to the knees was burned off, excepting the woolen underwear, which was burned through in some places, and her back was terribly burned. In five minutes a Christian Science practitioner was treating her, and in about twenty minutes she was asleep. She suffered no pain, and when she awoke smiled and talked to her father about the accident. One of my hands was very badly burned, but I also experienced no pain. In five weeks we were both entirely healed, and although it seemed at first that my hand would be disfigured, there is now not a scar, and they are disappearing one by one from my little girl.

This is only one of the many demonstrations of Truth's power which we have experienced, and I am thankful to God, and grateful to dear Mrs. Eddy, for these blessings.
