It is with a heart full of thankfulness to God for what He has done for me that I send my testimony to the Sentinel. I can say, "Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ," for through the power He has given us we can overcome all the ills of this life and realize that there is no power in evil. I was speaking to a doctor of my wonderful healing and he remarked that the time for miracles was when Christ Jesus was establishing his divinity, but I know that we can feel the ever-loving help of our heavenly Father now the same as when Jesus was among men. Left helpless and hopeless by one of our best physicians, about a year ago, I was made to feel that miracles were being performed on me by Christian Science when I was relived of pain that nothing but opiates had hitherto been able to allay.

How I rejoice in knowing what it means to be God's child, and that I could be healed by this blessed truth. After having tried the effects of climate all over our great country, I have at last been healed of a sciatic infirmity, from which I was not able to walk across my room. I was also healed of a lung affection of fifteen year's standing. In three treatments I was healed of an acute attack, when I was lying on a bed of pain, waiting for death to relieve me. A Christian Science practitioner came to me like a ray of sunshine, and I was immediately healed. The other diseases yielded more slowly, and but for the blessed promise, "Lo, I am with you alway," I should have given up. Then I remembered that the way to draw to myself greater blessings was by giving thanks for the smallest blessings of which I was conscious. Today I can praise God for the new hope that has come to me, and for the great spiritual healing I have received, as well as for the physical benefits. To those whose healing is slow I would say, Do not give up, but cling to the truth! The prophet Isaiah says, "Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily;" and the Master said, "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

I am so thankful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the revelation of the Christ within, which is indeed "the hope of glory." The brightness of Truth's presence casts out all the darkness of error, and then the whole body is full of light. I acknowledge God at all times as the one source of my understanding, and I strive to obey Paul's admonition, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."—Mrs. Mae Holbrook, El Paso, Tex.
