Through love of humanity and out of gratitude to Christian Science, to whose aid I owe my redemption from the liquor habit, I contribute this unsolicited testimonial of the benefits I have received. I wish to state that I was for a period of fifteen years, prior to 1904, addicted to the constant and excessive use of liquor. So protracted had been my debauch, and so strong was my craving for alcohol, that I was incapacitated both mentally and physically for either business or labor. Upon the advice of a friend, in February, 1904, I consulted a Christian Science practitioner. She gave me one treatment, and the effect was instantaneous and all but miraculous. The appetite for liquor left me, and I have not to this day—more than four years—taken a drink or had the slightest desire for it, and this despite all manner of temptations. My health is now perfect, my strength normal, and my intellect clear. I send this testimony with the hope that others who may be in bondage as I was, may profit as I have done by this wonderful Science.—W. P. Currigan, Denver, Col.
