Words fail to express my gratitude for the many blessings which I have received through Christian Science, especially the healing of my little daughter and myself. When my daughter was six months old she had an attack of lung trouble, and just as she recovered from this she had another illness, which it was said left her lungs in a very bad condition, so that she was under the doctor's care for three years. We were never without medicine in the house, but the cough never left her till she had Christian Science treatment. The doctor advised us to take her to the seashore, as he could do no more for her, and when I was told that she could be healed through Christian Science, I could not believe it. It seemed too good to be true, but I was willing to give it a trial; and she was healed in one month's absent treatment. She is now five years old and is strong and healthy.

At that time I knew practically nothing of Christian Science, and had no books with which to help myself in the least; but while my baby was being treated, the thought came to me that there might be help for me in the same way, as my health was very poor at the time. I had bowel trouble, headaches, and female weakness of a serious nature, from which I had never been free since the beginning of my married life. I had no expectation of being well again, as our doctor had advised an operation which I absolutely refused to have performed, for I had great fear of hospitals. I was in constant pain, but I had begun to think it was my duty to bear it. After my child's healing divine Love led me to where I could see what the truth could do and had done. We moved to Great Falls, where there was a Christian Science practitioner, and I was healed in four weeks' treatment.

It is a little over two years since I began the study of Science and Health, and I am more than grateful for its teachings. It has taught me the true living, and brought me spiritual uplifting. My love and gratitude to God is indeed great, and no words can express what I feel to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am continually striving to live this truth and to be obedient to our Leader's wise words and her faithful efforts to show us the way.
