For one who has received so many blessings through this wonderful truth revealed to us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, not to express a word of gratitude would be very ungrateful to say the least. I did not come to Christian Science for physical healing, as so many have done, but I have been wonderfully healed. It is over ten years since I began the study of Christian Science, and I have been helped a great many times from nervous attacks which came on very suddenly, as well as from headaches, and other minor ills. Seven years ago, with the little understanding I then had of the truth, I was able to lay off glasses, though I had worn them for four years and had been told that I should have had them when a small child. I was also told that I could never go without them again, but when it became necessary to have the lens changed for the third time, it was then I realized that in God was my sight, and I was able to lay aside the glasses and to use my eyes early and late without any inconvenience.

About two and a half years ago, however, I seemed to experience some trouble with my eyes, and at times, when reading or sewing, I seemed to become totally blind. The fear of this trouble was so great that I had two weeks' treatment of a practitioner, but I soon found the work was my own to do, even if the result seemed slow, so I stood firm in the truth, knowing that I had the requisite understanding, and that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494). As I gained more understanding of the truth, with it came a wonderful spiritual uplifting, and the peace that passeth all understanding. I wish to say that my sight was never before as perfect as it is today. The last six months have been the happiest period of my life. I realize that I can turn to God for protection and that He supplies all my needs. I have been able not only to help myself but others as well, and my constant prayer is that I may so live as to prove my faith by my works.
