An editorial in the Sentinel on "The Activity of Law,"...

An editorial in the Sentinel on "The Activity of Law," brought to my thought an experience which had come to me two weeks before Christmas, 1907. On coming home one afternoon I found the house in great disorder, and saw at a glance that it had been burglarized. I immediately telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner, who came to see me and took up work in Christian Science. In looking things over I found that every article of jewelry in the house had been taken, among others a very valuable watch which had belonged to my late husband, and several other articles which had been in the family many years and were greatly prized. One morning, about a week after this, the door-bell rang, and upon answering the summons I saw a boy about fourteen years old standing at the door. He gave me a box, saying that a man had sent it to me and had said that I would pay his car-fare back, which I did. On the top of the box was written "Merry Christmas," and on opening it I found all the missing articles but one, a diamond ring, which was restored to me a few days later. The boy was found later, and admitted the theft.

This is only one of the many blessings which I have received in Christian Science, all showing the omnipotence and omnipresence of divine Love. I was healed of severe nervous illness ten years ago, and since then my children have been healed of fever, throat trouble, etc. I never realized fully, until I read the editorial I have spoken of, how necessary it is that we should all be constantly awake to the demands of Truth, and it has been a great incentive to me to live every day so that I may be worthy of this wonderful truth and the protection it gives us. Words cannot express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and mine.
