It is less than two years ago that I turned to Christian Science...

It is less than two years ago that I turned to Christian Science for help. When I look back over this happy period I can hardly realize the wonders of divine Love, so many blessings have come to me. For years I suffered from rheumatic, heart, stomach, and bowel trouble, and I had worn glasses for over seventeen years. My mother passed on years ago, from an assertedly dreadful disease, and it was held that I had the same disease. I could eat nothing without experiencing great distress. I had tried many physicians of different schools, had been to noted hot springs and various sanitariums without receiving any lasting benefit.

When I turned to Christian Science, as a last resort, I was almost instantaneously healed. Is it any wonder that my cup of rejoicing is full to overflowing for this and for the spiritual uplift, the "peace of God, which passeth all understanding"? What a loving Father we have,—"who healeth all thy diseases." The doctors told me that on account of my heart trouble I could not go to a higher altitude than five thousand feet, but last summer my husband and I went over the "Rockies," going up more than eleven thousand feet without experiencing any discomfort. There was no thought of heart trouble, for I felt the presence of the one Mind, and that divine, and knew that man is a reflection of this Mind. Peter asks, "Who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?" My husband and I had been members of an orthodox church for many years, though we always felt that something was lacking; now we have found the "pearl of great price," and the Bible seems like a different book. We enjoy the Lesson-Sermons from the Quarterly, and are trying to follow our dear Leader even as she follows Christ.

After my own wonderful healing, my husband also took up Christian Science, and we have studied the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, together, and have derived much help from reading her "Miscellaneous Writings" and "Unity of Good." In less than a month after embracing Christian Science I had several wonderful demonstrations, and since then have been instrumental in helping others, for which my heart goes out in deep gratitude to God, and to our dear Leader, who has shown us the way. We feel greatly indebted to our Publishing Society for the literature which they send out. I do not see how any one can get along without the Sentinel and Journal. We feel that we receive so much from them, and are glad to help toward the fund for building the publishing house.
