It is now almost fourteen years since I was healed by Christian Science, after having tried many doctors and when I was steadily getting worse. Each doctor said that only an operation could help me, and that every organ in my body was affected. I became very despondent, not being able to do my housework nor care for my two small children, and having spent all my money for doctors and medicine. In this dark hour I heard of Christian Science, and went to see a practitioner. Never shall I forget the joy, peace, and strength that came to me after that first treatment. I was not healed at once, for there were many fears to be overcome; but, thanks to the love and patience of the practitioner, I gained right along, and in two months' time was completely well and able to do all my housework. Many trials have since come to me, but Christian Science has met them all, and I feel sure that it always will.

I am indeed thankful that this healing truth came to me in my great need. The spiritual understanding is, however, of much more importance to me than physical healing. I also realize that the daily living of this truth means daily growth in health and harmony. I am truly grateful to God, and to our Leader, for all the blessings that have come to my home through Christian Science.
