Our critic would seem to imply that Christian Science healing is essentially physical. This, of course, is not the case. Christian Science healing can be perhaps best expressed in some memorable words written by Mrs. Eddy: "Keep your minds so filled with Truth and Love that sin, disease, and death cannot enter them" (Christian Science Sentinel, Oct. 6, 1906). In a word, it is the attempt to show men how to reduce the teaching of the Sermon on the Mount from a vision of unattainable transcendentalism to the stern practice of daily routine, so that

Who sweeps a room as for thy laws,
Makes that and the action fine.
