I was an invalid for six years. My case was diagnosed by several physicians, including my husband, Dr. J. T. Leas, and was pronounced severe stomach and liver disease. Later a dreaded disease of the stomach appeared, and I was given up to die. At this juncture Christian Science treatment was asked for, with the result of perfect healing in less than two months. The treatment was absent at first, but after I began to improve I went to Omaha and received present treatment, and returned to my home in fifteen days, perfectly healed. This occurred in 1890, and I have depended absolutely on Christian Science since that time. My experience is surely an argument on behalf of individual rights, and the freedom of American citizens to choose the method of treatment which can best help them.
