I became deeply interested in Christian Science about eight years ago, and since that time I have been healed and benefited in many ways. I had suffered for a number of years from chronic stomach trouble and other disorders. I tried many different so-called remedies, but gradually grew worse. Finally, when hope was all but gone, when life seemed a mockery and death the only release from a useless existence, God's infinite mercy was revealed to me through Christian Science; and I saw that my release must be through Life, not death. I shall never forget the joy and peace I experienced at that time through the realization of God's presence, governing the affairs of men here and now!
The application of the definite and simple rules in Christian Science, laid down for practice in daily life, soon began to eradicate many forms of sin, such as fear, pride, stubbornness, envy, self-justification, resentment, etc., and proportionately as these evils were overcome disease disappeared. I am not yet entirely free, but I have had sufficient proof to know beyond a doubt that the continued practice of Christian Science in daily life will eventually heal me of all evil. I have found that absolute honesty in every detail of each day's experience is requisite, and that the first essential to growth is right thinking.
For the healing, physical, mental, and moral, and especially for the larger hope that is within me for a more useful life, I am grateful to Almighty God. I love, honor, and revere our tender, loving Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
