With the hope that it may help some other earth-weary...
With the hope that it may help some other earth-weary traveler, seeking for health and rest as I was, I give my testimony. Three years ago I had serious lung trouble, could neither eat nor sleep, and coughed almost continually. I was under the care of one of the best physicians in Port Huron, and was taking three different kinds of medicine, but to no avail. I kept on growing tinner and weaker, and could see nothing but death staring me in the face, for it seemed as if my time would soon come. Then I was advised to try Christian Science, of which I had known before. I had seen the proof of its healing power many times while living in Chicago, so I made up my mind to have treatment, as it was the last resort.
I at once took a train to London, Canada, a distance of over sixty miles. When I arrived at the Scientist's home I started to tell her my troubles; but she quickly set about preparing dinner for me, although I protested, saying I had eaten practically no food for over three weeks. The Scientist smilingly said that was a reason why I should do so now. To my surprise I ate the heartiest meal which I had had in years, and after the treatment the clouds seemed to vanish at once. The second day I went out in the country, and at the end of the week I went to work, healed and happy. My cough had disappeared and a new strength had been given me.
