I became interested in Christian Science partly from the need of physical healing and partly because I longed for a higher spiritual understanding. After trying all the material remedies of which I knew for disease of the stomach, but without relief, I heard of Christian Science. I had a few treatments from a practitioner and was healed. My spiritual understanding is increased and many errors besides sickness have been destroyed by my study of Science and Health. Mrs. Eddy's teaching that all causation is mental is certainly proved when we are freed from all forms of discord by a mental process, through the recognition that all is Mind. I am very grateful to God for revealing this truth through Mrs. Eddy, whose pure motive and life enabled her to receive it. I am also thankful for all the means that have been provided by which we may grow in knowledge of this truth.
