"What is the truth in Christian Science? Briefly it is...
Conneaut (O.) News-Herald
"What is the truth in Christian Science? Briefly it is the law of suggestion," says Rev. Mr. Bigelow. What would our brother think of a man who exclaims, "What is the truth of soul saving in the Episcopal Church? Briefly it is in the law of the atomic theory." This is the same line of argument, for there is no reason nor proof in it, nor is there any truth in the brother's statement. If the good done in Christian Science is by the law of suggestion, why does not our brother apply that same law and heal the sick of his own congregation? Christian Science treatment is as far from the law of suggestion as the zenith is from the nadir in the science of astronomy. Christian Science treatment is the prayer that reaches the harmonious action of omnipotent Mind, while the law of suggestion is the operation of the carnal mind which Paul said is enmity against God.
