A STEP IN ADVANCE

The following editorial comment made by the New York Sun upon the statement issued by two physicians who have voluntarily retired from the practice of medicine, is interesting. The Sun says,—

A physician of Buffalo, together with his wife, who served him in the quality of professional assistant, retired from practice last week, after publishing a proclamation which, as it is said, "astounded his patients." This curious document is well worthy of consideration on their part, and not on theirs only, but on the part also of a very considerable number of his fellow-practitioners. This is how the doctor sets forth his failings and limitations:—
