AMONG THE CHURCHES

[The following historical sketch was read at the dedication of the church edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Manchester, England, Jan. 5.—Editor.]

To-day we dedicate this church, costing £9,000, free of debt. The definition of "Church," as given by Mrs. Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 583), will now be read:—

"Church. The structure of Truth and Love; whatever rests upon and proceeds from divine Principle.
