I was so strongly reminded of my duty by a paragraph...

I was so strongly reminded of my duty by a paragraph in our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 372), that I can no longer withhold a testimony of what Christian Science has done for me. I had been "hungry and thirsty" for a better knowledge of the truth before I had even heard of Christian Science, and when the book was incidentally handed me by a neighbor, as something interesting because out of the ordinary, I read it first with astonishment, then with a growing sense of joy, for I felt that I had found truth that sets us free. It was to me like a cup of cold water in "a dry and thristy land." I was in great sorrow at the time and felt as if God were far away, but I prayed daily for strength to endure. That prayer was answered by the coming of that inspired book into my hands, and for this truth I shall never cease to be thankful.
