Jesus says, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." How many times these encouraging words of our Master have been proven in our home since coming into Christian Science, over four years ago. I had been a sufferer for years, being confined to my bed four and five days at a time. I was subject to a cough for nine years and completely run down in every way. I was continually taking medicine and medical treatment; but was unable to attend to my household duties without suffering. In the spring, of 1905 I was taken with lung trouble, and was carried to the home of a Christian Science practitioner in Batavia, N. Y. (a distance of seven miles); then followed a fever, kidney disease, with symptoms of paralytic trouble. After seven weeks of faithful work and loving care I was lifted out of bondage into "the glorious liberty of the children of God." A physician's wife who was in the home at the time, watched the case. After I returned to my home she said she never expected to see me leave that house only as I was carried out. My husband was healed of kidney trouble and an injury to his limb which he received while chopping wood. We have a family of seven children, and the blessings we have received through Christian Science I cannot number. They have been healed of throat trouble, colds, fever, and other ailments. Our last baby was born under Christian Science, and all was harmony. We had been unable to meet expenses, owing to misfortunes and doctor's bills, but have found that in divine Love is a supply for every need. We also find that God is the great Physician, and He is our guide in every walk of life. Christian Science shows us the way of life instead of death; of harmony instead of discord. We feel so thankful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the revelation of Truth that has come to us, and we want God to lead us each day in the path of righteousness.
