FROM OUR EXCHANGES

[The Universalist Leader.]

It is quite time. All the other forces are being joined, and so many of them are antagonistic to individual good and public welfare that the forces of righteousness are placed at a disadvantage. And yet, if all the forces of righteousness were united they could easily dominate the world. Few realize that in this country more than one third of our people are joined to some church, and they have but to work together to swing this nation into the right path. But there is so much antagonism between these different churches; while they are all working for a common end, they spend more time in quarreling about the method of getting there than they do in trying to induce men and women to make the trip. It is pleasing to note, however, that influences are now being felt which eventually will call good people to good sense, and presently we shall find one church supplementing another, and rejoicing in the achievements of each other, instead of envying each other's growth. There have some practical steps been taken recently which are full of promise.
