From childhood, until after gaining some understanding of Christian Science, I had suffered from frequent attacks of bronchial trouble in an aggravated form. For a few years, after coming to Colorado from the East through the advice of physicians, there seemed to be an improvement, but it did not last. After beginning the study of Christian Science, my healing was slow, owing to beliefs which were not outgrown, but after one long, hard struggle, in which discouragement seemed to play a prominent part, the disease vanished, and for ten years I have been a well woman, with no fear that the winter must be spent in sickness. I have also been relieved through Christian Science of an abnormal growth, regarded as hereditary. This experience has proved to me the truth of St. Paul's declaration in Romans, 8 : 2. In both cases of healing much time was spent in the overcoming of a sense of discouragement, but when the enslaving mental condition which bound me was uncovered, it vanished quickly and completely. To this saving truth brought to us by our dearly loved Leader, do I ascribe my healing.—Clara Franck, Canon City, Col.
