This testimony is given in the hope that it may reach some of the many whom I know are in the same condition that I was,—a condition brought about by idleness and unconscious selfishness. I was a wreck; in constant pain, and I did not sleep except by taking opiates. My physicians, who were of the best and kindest, tried to encourage me, but I was most unhappy; a care to the family and a burden to myself. Surgeons and physicians had done all that mortal man could do. Operations were performed, and months were spent in sanitariums and hospitals, but all to no purpose. Just then Christian Science found me. In one treatment the sleeplessness was overcome completely. The other physical conditions were longer in yielding, but I was healed. Christian Science waked me up; instead of being a burden I have become a help; instead of being an expense I am now a wage-earner; misery has been turned to happiness, and hopelessness to a knowledge that God has given me dominion.

I can never be thankful enough to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, that I have been lovingly lifted out of darkness.

Mrs. Jane K. Thayer, Nashville, Tenn.
