About seven years-ago Christian Science was brought...
About seven years-ago Christian Science was brought to my attention through the healing of a very dear friend, and having enough faith in God to believe that He is no respecter of persons, that if He would heal another He would heal me of my infirmity. I was led by divine Love to call upon a practitioner, and suffice it to say, to the human sense the result obtained was a marvel. I had been a sufferer for about twelve years from what materia medica called a severe rectal trouble. I had tried the best medical aid, applied all kinds of patent remedies, but all to no avail.
Christian Science was recommended to me one Sunday evening. I concluded to give it a trial the next day. On Monday morning I called on a practitioner. It seemed impossible to go up the stairs to his office, and it was only by collecting together all the courage I had left that I was enabled to do so. The first treatment relieved me of all the pain and tired feeling, although the trouble did not cease entirely until seven or eight weeks afterwards, and I soon found out that I had work to do for myself, which was, I now plainly see, for my own good. Not only have I been healed physically, but morally as well, for my life previous to one acceptance of Christian Science was not to be recommended to any one; the physical blessing I have received is not to be compared with the spiritual healing.
I thank God for the saving truth given to us in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
