It is with the deepest and sincerest gratitude that I testify...
It is with the deepest and sincerest gratitude that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science, which, as our dear Leader says, gives vitality to religion so that religion is no longer buried in materiality. For many years I had been searching for a religion that was more in keeping with the teachings of Jesus, and it is a little more than five years since I first went to a Christian Science Sunday service in Dublin and began reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I had suffered very much for six weeks with chilblains and had used many remedies, but with no relief. In this condition I attended a Sunday service for the second time. During the service I felt a deep spiriutal uplifting and I knew that I had been healed. I continued to read Science and Health, not always understanding it at once, but knowing that what others had understood and proved to be true would some day be clear to me. In a few months I became aware of the fact that chronic neuralgia, sick-headaches, and dropsy (a disease I believed to be hereditary) had completely disappeared.
For these and many other benefits received, spiritual as well as physical, I have much joy, and render my heartfelt thanks to divine Principle, and to Mrs. Eddy, who has restored to us the Christ-healing as Jesus taught and demonstrated it.—Minnie Thorogood, Ealing, London, Eng.
