Christian Science has done what nothing else could do for my mother. She suffered intensely from stomach trouble, and was told by her physician, after a thorough examination, that there was some kind of growth in it. I mentioned Christian Science treatment to her, but she was opposed to it. Finally, she reluctantly consented, but not until she felt that otherwise death was certain. We called a practitioner at once, and in a short time she was healed. No one could be more changed or more grateful than she is for the teaching of Christian Science. She cannot read English, and only learned to know this truth by having it explained to her by a practitioner. She is in better health than ever before, and enjoys life more than she ever did. Words are inadequate to express the gratitude we both feel for the healing truth taught by our dear Leader. Mrs. Eddy, For this healing and the many blessings that have come to us through Science, we are sincerely thankful to God, and hope and pray for a greater understanding of the truth, that we may bring harmony into all our life and environment.—Mrs. J. I was most wonderfully healed through Christian Science, which came to me in an hour of very great need, after every material means had failed. I had sought help in four of the best hospitals in the United States, and had employed in all twenty-seven physicians, among whom were doctors in Boston, Chicago, and Minneapolis. The physicians gave up my case and could only try to alleviate my suffering with powerful opiates. In July they told me that I could only live until September. At this point I sought help from Christian Science, though with no faith whatever, until I began to read the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I then saw a light "that never was on land or sea." Although my case was an extreme one I was helped immediately and finally healed. I went to work at once to demonstrate the teachings of this book and I have been able with this truth to help many others. I have found that God is the Principle of all and an ever-present help in trouble.
