At the age of thirteen I had to leave school, owing to ill health, and from that time was never long out of a doctor's care. I had heart trouble, rheumatism, and other ailments for twenty-four years. For five years I was constantly under medical treatment, and on the advice of two physicians went to Colorado, but received no benefit. After returning East, Bright's disease developed, and in spite of all the drugs I took, and the care I received, I grew gradually worse, until the doctor felt it a duty to acquaint my husband with this condition, intimating that my days would be few.
A short time after this I overheard some ladies telling of cases of healing under Christian Science treatment, and thinking it would not hurt me in any way, I determined to see if it could relieve me of my suffering, not expecting anything further. But thanks to God, I am now well, after two years in Christian Science. My healing was slow, as there were many adverse conditions in my surroundings to overcome, but the cure has been accomplished and is complete. I sincerely hope that this testimony may reach the eyes of some one who needs the healing truth as I did.
Mrs. Gussie L. Hammond, New Bedford, Mass.
