It is with grateful heart that I acknowledge to the world...

It is with grateful heart that I acknowledge to the world some of the benefits received in Christian Science, which came to me in an hour of great need. I had suffered for years, going from one doctor to another, until I had lost all hope of ever getting better, and my friends were advising my wife to persuade me to get my business affairs straightened up as they believed the end close at hand. It was at this time that Christian Science was brought to my notice by a dear friend. I had suffered with indigestion for years, also constipation, liver trouble, bleeding piles, heart trouble, etc.

After taking up the study of Christian Science, with a very little help through a practitioner, I began to improve, and continued to improve, until I was perfectly healed from all these ailments. My daily prayer is that God will bless Mrs. Eddy for giving us Science and Health, which is constantly explaining the way of Life, not death, the way of Spirit, not matter, and which encourages us to press onward and upward. I am also grateful for the Christian Science Sentinel and Journal. May God bless all those who have, through these papers, contributed so many crumbs of truth and comfort to me. I am prompted to say in Bible language, "Before I was afflicted I went astray," but now my desire is to keep God's law. I hope that I may be able to do as much for my fellow men as has been done for me, by pointing them to God, and in that way become of use in the world. When I think of the condition in which Christian Science found me, and that myself and family have been six years without medicine, I feel like saying, "Praise God from whom all blessings flow."
