Before applying for Christian Science treatment I was under the care of an eminent physician for about a year. I had been troubled with constipation from childhood, and was in a very weak, nervous condition. The year's treatment had culminated in a slight operation, but neither was of any benefit, and I was worse than before the operation. In the latter part of 1898 I took one Christian Science treatment, which healed me of constipation and I have never used any material means since. Later on, about the spring of 1899. I took several treatments, which with the reading of Science and Health, the text-book of Christian Science, completed the healing of other troubles, and I have been well and strong ever since.
