It is with a heart full of gratitude that I give this testimony to the world for benefits received from Christian Science. For more than nine years I was a sufferer, and having derived only temporary relief from materia medica, and with little hope of ever feeling well again, I finally decided to try Christian Science. Little did I realize what blessings awaited me, for after a few weeks treatment I was healed of chronic troubles peculiar to my sex. I had also suffered at times from extreme nervousness and heart trouble. I had to wear glasses whenever I read at night or did fine sewing, but when one form of disease was cured all others seemed to flee.

I became interested in Christian Science through hearing a lecture delivered in our city by Judge Hanna, and while idle curiosity led me to go, I shall ever be thankful that I did hear it. I was a member of an orthodox church which I loved, yet when I began to study Christian Science as given in our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I knew that I had found the truth and I wanted to know more of God, who is Life, Truth and Love. While I am so thankful to have a healthy body, this is the least of the blessings derived from Christian Science treatment. I was taught to know that God is ever-present:—to realize that Christ is here, healing the sick and bringing comfort to the sorrowing, and for this blessed assurance I am the most grateful. This truth has brought me peace where discord seemed to exist, joy instead of worry and discontent, and love instead of resentment. While I still find many battles to fight, I have the assurance that the truth will destroy all evil, and that if I live right, each day there will be added strength.
