Letters to our Leader

Reading, Mass., December 27, 1905.

Rev. Mary Baker G. Eddy,
Pleasant View, Concord, N. H.

Beloved Leader:—Believing that it will add one more ray of sunshine in your daily demonstration, to learn of the doings of our little church, in contributing our mite to help finish the beautiful temple of Christian Science in Boston, we venture to send you a short statement of the same. Since September 1, 1902, there has been sent from the Reading church a total amount of $4578.25, which includes all of our building fund, the regular pledged quarterly payments to that fund, the rentals from the two cottages now standing on the site of our church building lot, and also several special collections, the last of which was our Thanks giving offering of $708.06. If your important duties will permit you to glance at this letter, we shall feel very grateful for the privilege of coming into such close touch with your thought even for one moment; and, on the other hand, if it never reaches you, we shall love you just the same.
