It is nine years since my husband and I began the investigation of Christian Science. At that time we were both very much in need of something that the physicians could not give us. I was a very unhappy woman, and cried two thirds of my time. I had been a church worker, but there was something I needed and could not find there. I prayed on, and my prayers were answered when the light of Truth dawned upon me through the inspired pages of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. For the first time I read the ninety-first Psalmm understandingly. The way has seemed dark at times, but we have grown by our trials. We have four children, all of whom were born under Christian Science treatment. They do not know about medicine and have wonderful demonstrations of their own at times. Our two oldest daughters were healed of scarlet fever in the very worst form. I worked day and night in Christian Science, and when the healing came it was wonderful.
I thanked God, and how my love and gratitude went out to the one who lived near enough to God to rediscover this glorious truth which was so long hidden from us, and to reveal it to mankind. In no way has Christian Science ever failed us. May I live close enough to God to be worthy of the name, Christian Scientist.
Mrs. Hattle B. Potts, Omaha, Neb.
