It is now about three years since I accepted Christian Science, and I wish to express my gratitude for what this wondrous truth has done for me. As a child I was never strong, and for about eighteen years before Christian Science helped me, I was constantly under the doctors' care. taking medicine of one kind or another every day, but still I failed to get well. Finally they told me, a few years before I accepted Christian Science, that fibroid tumors had developed, and that I could be well only by submitting to an operation. The operation was performed and the result was that after it I found myself in a much worse condition than I had been in before. A few months later the physician said that more tumors were growing, that as soon as I was strong enough I must have another operation. I lived along in that condition for three years, until they insisted that the operation must be performed immediately: that unless this was done, I could not live very long. Then it was that in my extremity I turned to Christian Science, and in less than four weeks I was healed. I was healed. I have not been in bed a day since, nor have I taken any medicine. With the disappearance of the tumors came the discovery that the action of every organ in my body had changed and become normal, and for the first time since I can remember, I knew what it meant to feel well.
While I am very grateful for this physical healing, I am much more grateful for the spiritual understanding, the uplifting, and the happiness which has come to me. This has been gained from the study of our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I love her more and each day for what she has done and is daily doing to bless mankind.
