When Christian Science was first presented to me I sent at once for a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, read it, and was changed from a weak, sickly woman into a strong, healthy one by reading its inspired pages; but still I did not have the happiness for which my heart yearned, although it brought a greater degree of happiness than I had ever known before. The freedom from pain and sickness which the understanding of Christian Science brings, is of itself a constant theme for thanksgiving. So passed two or three healthful and comparatively happy years, then a seemingly great sacrifice of material things brought peace and rest which lasted many months, and which was a realization of that happiness which I had always longed for. I thought then that it would last forever, but after that came several years of "fightings without and within," but in my greatest mental struggles there never was a time when I did not realize clearly that I was far happier than I was before this light came into my life. Then little by little came the understanding that no person or material condition can add to or detract from happiness, for that comes from Spirit, God; and now for several years I have had peace. Now I can testify out of my own experience—Christian Science, and Christian Science alone, does bring happiness.
Mrs. Rosa Loy, Fairfield. Wash.
